SUPER BOWL 2022 - OUR TOP 5 COMMERCIALS
The Super Bowl is not only the National Football League (NFL) final, it is also (sorry, mostly) one of the most exciting sporting events of the year for its commercials. Aired on Sunday, February 13 on NBC and on its streaming platform Peacock, this final reached a record in terms of advertising costs : $7 million for a 30-second spot!
It’s always a challenge for the companies and their advertising agencies to be more creative, catchy and standing out. Here are The Consultancy Group’s top 5 of 2022.
#5 - Uber Eats “Uber Don’t Eats” - Gwyneth Paltrow, Trevor Noah, Jennifer Coolidge and more get confused with Uber Eats
When it comes to the absurd : a good sense of humour and self-mockery with a cool cast
#4 - Coinbase “QR Code” - A QR code bouncing from corner to corner of the screen during a 60-second spot
Simple, effective and… a wink to the 1980-90’s kids that we (almost) are.
#3 - Lay’s “Golden Memories” - Featuring Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen, recalling memories with Lay’s
(Editor’s note : some of the team are big fans of crisps)
#2 - Doritos “Push It” - How their Flamin’ Hot can even unleash a sloth
(Editor’s note #2 : some of the team are big fans of crisps)
#1 - Amazon “Mind Reader” - Featuring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost Star. What if Alexa could read your mind ?
Our winner hasn’t been chosen because of Scarlett, but only because the story is cool and funny.
(… ok, the featuring of Scarlett helps a bit)
