MARKETING A record-breaking 2023 for Black Friday "The performance of online sales during Black Friday exceeded the expectations of all retail executives," said Rob Garf, vice-president and general manager of Salesforce. His teams analyzed the transactions of 1.5 billion consumers during the annual shopping extravaganza, an American tradition that is increasingly being exported to the rest of the world.

VESTIAIRE COLLECTIVE STANDS IN THE WAY OF FAST FASHION

MARKETING - The second-hand app Vestiaire Collective is putting a stop to 30 fast-fashion brands! 

These include Zara, H&M, Gap, Uniqlo, Mango, Urban Outfitters and Abercrombie & Fitch. This drastic stance is accompanied by an "Anti Black Friday" campaign, showing national monuments drowning in textile waste. 

By banishing the fast-fashion giants from its platform for good, Vestiaire Collective is strengthening its positioning. By 2022, the resale portal had already left many brands at the door: Asos, Boohoo, Nasty Gal, Pretty Little Thing, Missguided, etc., as well as Shein, Topman, Topshop and Warehouse.
